We are Chosen to be Missionaries on a Commission to expand His Kingdom
Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many, (Matthew 20:28 KJV)
This commission is not to wait for the world to come to us, it is to go into all of the world to teach, preach the gospel to work the call to fulfillment of Jesus Christ command.
(Ephesians 4:11-16) So, Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
“KINGDOM MANDATE” God’s commission is to grow and expand His kingdom throughout the world. Discerning the Prompting of the Holy Spirit, we have been chosen to be missionaries and to go where the Holy Spirit leads.
“THE INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT” All Apostles, Pastors and Teachers their role is to ensure that
the Gospel is spread by the Indwelling of the power of the Holy spirit.
“MAKING A KINGDOM IMPACT” Make an Impact in sharing the Great News of our Lord Jesus Christ. Walk with humility, boldness, meekness, compassion, a pure heart, being in Christlikeness.
“THE GREAT NEWS IS A COMMANDMENT” MATTHEW 20:28
(2 Corinthians 6:1-10) As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
An invitation to an intimate personal relationship with Him through the message of his commission, the glory of Himself.
It is vital to keep in mind that the biblical concept of glory is describing God Himself, His attributes, as well as the works that He carries out, what He is like, and how he does them, all of which are the characteristics that when understood rightly compel humanity to bow and kneel at God’s feet in perpetual adoration. In light of all the magnificence and splendor of His being, God wants to be acknowledged, trusted, and obeyed.
(1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV) Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
God’s word is at the heart of a godly and scripturally sound basis for missions, and it is fundamentally important to understand what God is doing in the world as we speak in order to grasp the missionary endeavor in the world today. God Himself has a set of tasks that he wants to accomplish, a message with which he wants to achieve them, and a strategy for accomplishing them, and these are all things that are part of God’s mission.
He is calling all of his redeemed children to join him in his mission through Christ as we become his ambassadors. In Christ, we are privileged to enter into the great commission plan that will ultimately result in the redemption of all mankind.
I believe that every believer needs to recognize that God has called us to carry the gospel to our own communities of friends and family and the world, that is, to the people we know in our communities of residence, the places where we reside, pursue our studies, or our nearest church fellowship.
As God’s messenger, you have been sent to our community of friends on online social media sites to preach the gospel to them. I encourage you to spread the good news in the name of Jesus to all residents of your community and to the whole world so that they may hear the gospel and glorify the Creator.
Prayer:
My Lord and my Father, our eternal salvation is found in the person of your beloved son Jesus Christ. He is the model of the mission you have given us. Your holy scripture repeatedly reveals to us that you, Lord God, are on a mission to restore our relationship with you. YHWH, your Holy Spirit has granted us a missionary purpose, and that is to be missionaries in you. O Lord God, Accordingly, we can say that the heavenly Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to come as a form of a baby and the Son sent His chosen man to His disciples, and His disciples sent the Church, the body of Christ Jesus into the world, which includes you and me, to seek out and save the lost.”
(Luke 19:10) For the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
“In submission to you, Lord almighty, we acknowledge and have a very clear understanding of the fact that we have been chosen to be missionaries on a commission to expand your kingdom throughout this world as we pass through it. May you, O Lord, renew our minds, thoughts, and thinking so that we may become more like your Son, Jesus Christ. May we be examples of what it means to follow you by putting our faith into action. It is our prayer that you will pour out your Spirit upon us and awaken in us a feeling of renewed vigor, a feeling of revival, and a sense of transformation in our hearts, minds, thoughts, in our thinking and consciousness, Lord almighty. Let us see a breakthrough in spiritual rebirth, a deep sense of compassion towards you and a rekindled sense of hope. Let all those you have called to move and to continue to go into the world. As we call on your name, we ask for your Spirit to move in our lives and in the body of Christ Jesus. Please help us be bold witnesses of your love and grace, sharing the good news with others, and baptized in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. Lord, help us to recognize our uniqueness and beauty, and to embrace them with love and understanding, Lord, give us the wisdom to know how to communicate effectively, especially when we are at odds, and Lord, help us to love one another as you have loved us. We pray that our unity will bring glory to your name and serve as a testimony to your love to the world, as our Lord Jesus promised that “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a witness to all nations and then the end will come.”
(John 20:21-22) Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
It is my prayer that, as we are chosen to serve as missionaries on a commission to expand your kingdom, that we will continue to be led by you as you help us. I thank you that you are our helper. This is my prayer,
“For God be all the glory forever, through our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.”
