The Great Commission-Bringing “The Great News” to Relatives and Close Friends

Bringing “The Great Commission” to Relatives
and Close Friends

(Matthew 5:14-16) You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

The Great news can start with your closest relatives, friends, and can also be very close to home neighbors, it could be nearby neighborhoods who has not heard the good news. Sometimes it may be a challenge, but it can be most effective to allow them to see and hear your personal testimony. But know that nothing is impossible through God.

(Luke 1:37) For no word from God will ever fail.

The most important truth to remember: It is God that does the saving. We are being faithful to God and sharing the Good News of the Gospel given by our Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Corinthians 3:6-7) I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

By starting to plant the seed to take deepest roots, “we must first see what they think of you? And if you are a testimony in their lives. To finish is to do this faithfully, we must love them more then ourselves. When it comes to be a Challege for them to hear this encouragement word or not, or whether you have been a testimony or not. We must be spiritually ready. It can be a challenging conversation, just don’t get discouraged if you have not been a perfect testimony, ask your relative or friend where you have failed to not give a good testimony? As you discuss this matter keep a smile and pray within yourself by asking God for you to have ears to hear and to speak in a good way when answering your relative or friend back. Always having in mind of turning the conversation to spiritual thoughts and allowing Gods faithfulness to open your Evangelistic opportunity.

(Psalm 25:8-10) Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.

Do not argue with them in any matter of trying to defend yourself. Relax and discern the Spirit of the Lord and he will help you in that split moment. Do not be afraid, or feel that you’re in an altercation, think of this as what you always wanted, to have this conversation. Enjoy and thank the relative or friend allowing them to take even more comfort that you are listening to them.

(Colossians 4:5-6) Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Take all steps forward to know that God is with you in that very moment, remember he is ever-present moment by moment and it is himself allowing you to hear and see. He has given you that most powerful prevalence to have that wonderful talk with your relative or friend. Remember God is all power, all knowing, and ever-presence, he is at your right hand sustaining you to hear and look at this relative or friend eye to eye. In that moment you have already planted that seed, and if you walk without a result, somewhere along the road you will finish what was intended in that wonderful conversation.

Prayer:

Lord, graciously, I pray that you will use each of us for your glory and equip us to fulfill your will and build your kingdom by using each of us. Let your Spirit fall on us so that we are bold enough to do whatever you ask of us to do. Humbly serve you with meekness and boldness, faithfully fulfilling your requirements.

(1 Peter 4:10-11 KJV) As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Lord, as we move forward, may you infuse your Holy Spirit into each of us, providing peace and joy into their hearts, souls, minds, thoughts, thinking, and consciousness. Let your Holy Spirit translate every chapter and verse in such a way that they are portrayed as loving and caring for their lost soul, so that they can go into the world and tell others about you and prepare a path for their lives.

(Roman 8:26-27 KJV) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Our Lord may our path be clear, and may we prepare the way for them to travel, and may they be guided to the hearts of those they will encounter. I thank you for the gift of your Spirit and for your unfailing love by helping them to share you and live boldly for the name of Jesus. Lord, we are grateful for the gift of your Spirit, which is the breath that comes from the mouth and every spiritual gift you have blessed us with.

“In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
