Our Creator distributes the Gift of the Spirit to the members of His Body
Due to this process of distribution, our creator distributes the gift of the spirit to the members of His body, and now that believers have received these gifts, they are to glorify God through these gifts because they have been given to them by God. Since the Holy Spirit is the one who manifests the presence of God everywhere in the world right now, it is not surprising that Paul calls spiritual gifts, manifestations of the Holy Spirit as Paul describe them in 1 Corinthians.
(1 Corinthians 12:7-11) Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.
Are you able to identify your Gift?
The author of Romans which is ‘Paul the Apostle’ gives an example of how the manifestation of the gift is exhibited. Paul is telling us to understand these kinds of gifts, which are categorized as different for each person. You will be able to make the most of the manifestation of each of your gifts by understanding them and utilizing them in the way God intended.
Are you able to understand your Gift?
Your spiritual gifts must be clearly demonstrated in your life in a very clear and concise manner.
When did your gifts begin, and when did they begin to manifest themselves?
The moment you received Christ into your heart, God has begun to place some of his spiritual gifts on you, and in the period of time when you seek him during your journey, he allows you to continue to pursue him. The Lord will teach you, guide you, test you, and take you through a variety of trials in order to make you stronger so that you will be able to carry these gifts to the fullest extent. The laying of hands signifies that God has appointed and anointed you by directly speaking to your heart and dispensing His gifts to you.
(1 Timothy 4:14) Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
(1 Corinthians 12:12-13) Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
Upon comprehending your gifts, you will be able to edify the church, the body of Christ Jesus, by the prompting and power of the holy spirit. By demonstrating his power, authority and strength as you use each of your gifts, you will be able to edify the church.
(1 Corinthians 12:14-26) Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact, God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
Prayer:
The Lord our God, the one who created the entire universe and all that is in it, our Creator who made heaven and earth, the God of heaven and earth, how unsearchable are Your principles, degrees, laws and unfathomable are Your ways. You chose us in Christ our Lord before the foundation of the world so that in Him we would be sinless and faultless. Our hearts are filled with praise after praise, as we glorify and praise you for the grace You have graciously bestowed upon us through your Son, Jesus our Redeemer, having received the spirit of adoption as sons, being fellow heirs with Him. Lord almighty, I am grateful that you have promised to us the helper, which we will receive from the promised through your son Jesus, our savior and lord. By having the spirit in part within us, we will be able to know right from wrong by having the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that is your will, what you intend, the plan, and the timing that is perfect, enabling us to know your will. Thank you for the edification, of your Holy Spirit, that lives within each of us, O Lord God, that you have provided for us so that we may be able to be edifying in every word we speak, hear, and do. I thank you, Lord. You have distributed all different spiritual gifts for the edification of the members of your body, so that they will be able to serve in different ways for the purpose of building your church so that it will bring glory to you.
My prayer is for this, “For God be the glory forever through our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
