Edifying The Church-The Body of Christ needs to be Exalted, in order to bring Glory to God

The Body of Christ needs to be Exalted, in order to bring Glory to God

There are diversities of gifts, but the Spirit is the same. It is the Spirit that edifies the Church. Our spiritual gifts were given to us by God for a specific purpose. It is important to understand that spiritual gifts serve a number of purposes.

Our spiritual gifts serve many purposes according to God. We have been provided with each of these gifts so that we may be able to offer praise to God in all that we do. The book of 1 Corinthians, another indication of God’s Holy Spirit’s presence in the Church is the manifestation of spiritual gifts. “By observing the Holy Spirit working in various ways, believers are able to discern His presence as a result, people have a greater sense of God’s proximity and that he is working to accomplish His purposes. It is to serve his purposes in the church and to bless the people that he has called.”

(1 Corinthians 12:4-6) There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

Prayer:

Dear Almighty God, in light of the fact that the gospel is at the core of our worship, then it is possible to arrange our services in such a way that both evangelism and edification are integrated throughout all of them. Lord, as we recognize that the gospel is the heart of Christian living and life, Lord, we ask that you grant us the ability to let the gospel be heard and to glorify and magnify you Lord as we edify and evangelize simultaneously. ‘My good and merciful almighty God who has compassion on mankind’, we are thankful that your message provides the free gift of grace, and it is intended for conversion of non-believers. Which is why it is equally critical for daily Christian living to communicate the gospel and frame our worship to help bring as many lost souls as possible to see that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, willingly laid his life on the cross for the world. That no matter the condition of each individual, they are all worthy and His love for them is unfathomable. I pray that you take us in day after day as we strive day by day to be a light in the lives of those who have not yet come to know you. To continue to glorify and magnify the greatness and power of your marvelous name, through us. My God, I thank you for your mercy and support for we know, throughout life, there is a need for the gospel to be preached to everyone. In Ephesians, you graciously gave us words to equip and embellish the body and those who are in need of the gospel through your holy word. (Ephesians 4:15) For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ. —Lord God, believers are to be equipped with the truths of your holy righteousness Word for personal growth and building one another up by sharing those same tools with one another, so that we may use our spiritual gifts to fulfill the tasks you have given us. This is my prayer to you Lord, that your Spirit continues to guide us to follow the same example of our lord, Jesus Christ, and that you will continue to lead us in this way.

“In the mighty righteousness, powerful, and Holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
