Message of Knowledge - Spiritual Gifts

Edifying The Church-There is only one Mediator through whom all Spiritual Gifts can be imparted, and that is Jesus

There is only one Mediator through whom all Spiritual Gifts can be imparted, and that is Jesus

Due to Jesus’ position at God’s right hand, God’s presence on earth is primarily manifested by the holy spirit by the word which He spoke, and the actions He performed Jesus exemplified all the spiritual gifts. Our Creator bestowed his qualities upon us, and only he can transmit them. There are several attributes that God imparted upon us as a result of his revelation to us. GOD YET, didn’t endow humans with all of the attributes that God possessed.

As we gain a deeper understanding of spiritual gifts, we become more appreciative of all members of the Body. In this way, we are able to distinguish ourselves from the spiritual field of the air. Jesus amplified to his faithful disciples that they would be induced with all power, authority, and strength of the helper, (which is the Holy Spirit) He urged them to “wait until the helper, whom I will send you, is baptizing you with all spiritual gifts. During Jesus’ ascension to heaven as described in Acts 1, He told His disciples that they would be empowered with the Holy Spirit.

According to Acts 1:4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.”

Therefore, it was a declaration of truth that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, would be coming who is equal to the Father and the Son. Hence, the Father promised that at Pentecost the Holy Spirit would come in a special way to do a three-fold work in all God’s children’s lives. Only after Pentecost and through this dispensation would these three Holy Spirit ministries be operative.

Acts 2:1-13 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

As a Christian, I strongly believe that spiritual gifts are self-sufficient in the sovereignty of divine presence and the manifestations of the omnipotent nature of the divine power of the almighty God, which contribute to fulfilling the present needs of immeasurable numbers of saints. It is for the benefit of the Body, of the Creator, and the fostering of integrity in the Church. In light of His eternal compassion, it is God who commences the process of gifting and assigns the gifts. As a result of the wonderful gift that He has given, He has demonstrated both His tenderness and His glory and endless Love for humanity at the same time.

According to Scripture, spiritual gifts can be classified into tiers.

Prayer:

My heart is eternally grateful to you Almighty Sovereign God, for bringing me to life through faith in your Son Jesus and placing me in your bloodline along with the rest of Jesus Christ your body. The greatest joy is that He has blessed me with His imprint, which has become a permanent, irrevocable fingerprint, and taken up residence within my heart, so enabling me to pursue my heavenly calling stronger as my character develops in a manner that becomes more and more like Jesus Christ. Throughout my daily life, I pray your Holy Spirit will guide, lead, and direct me and that I will learn continuously to understand the quiet promptings of your Holy Spirit, in order for me to be able to recognize them as I read your Word and pray to You. May I discern your quiet, gentle voice in the scriptures each day, and may I have the wisdom, knowledge, and complete understanding to discern your spiritual prompts when you have seemingly prompted me to enlighten and guide me through your words of guidance and advice.

It is my true desire to live a life that is pleasing to my almighty Creator and that Glorifies Him in all I do. Therefore, I pray that I maintain a compassionate-filled spirit and cultivate a commitment to learning so as to follow your path. My sincerest thanks to you, that your Holy Spirit indwells me in all its ramifications; Thank You, my unfailing and steadfast God, the depth of my gratitude goes out to you for your amazingly intimate relationship with me, the covenant, power, authority, and the strength of your Holy Spirit indwelling me. May your Holy Spirit always be with me, Lord, and that there is never a time in existence when I disengage from your word or misuse it in some way that quenches the power of the Holy Spirit. As a result, help me to know that my communication with you is continuously a conduit for dialoguing with you. Indebted to You, Father, as You refine and make me into the being that You would have me to be through Your Holy Spirit, it is my joy to praise Your holy name. Let me never lose sight of the prompting of your Holy Spirit, so that I may be free of obscurity, and never go silent on my ears from listening or have any problems of lack of comprehension or inability to hear your promptings. It would be especially helpful if you could never let me go on in my life without understanding how your Holy Spirit is leading me on for my good. It is You who continues to convict me of my sins and instill perseverance in my life, as I yield to your ongoing enlightenment, acculturation, and nurturing of the spirit within me.

Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to you, Almighty God, for all the blessings I have received all the way through my life. At every step of this endeavor, You have been a great help to me and it is with great gratitude that I write this acknowledgment of You. As You continue to empower and discipline me through the powerful prompting of the joyously Holy Spirit, impart daily counsel and encouragement, and instruct me in the truths Your Spirit aims to convey. In the power of your word and the power of your presence, every gift you have given me has been put to work on my behalf and for the benefit of others. It is Your graciousness to give each and every one of your beloved children multiple spiritual gifts of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Furthermore, developing other gifts and nurturing them with the same spirit, and striving with eagerness to acquire an in-depth knowledge of everything You instruct me and them. As we become more receptive to your counsel, facilitated by your Holy Spirit, in the midst of his promptings, may we become increasingly in tune with you.  May Your Holy Spirit strengthen us to learn to accept your plan for our life in this temporary earthly place by giving us the strength to say “Thy will be done, even if it means exchanging our comfort for sacrifice. We are praying to you in your presence as you have instructed, Almighty God always help us to worship you in reverence. As Christians, we believe that all of these spiritual gifts are the result of listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We ask you, Lord, to help us in every way and to let us remain poised to project the love, joy, and endearing light you want us to, and may we never neglect your word. Let us all strive to be fully cognizant of all the different spiritual gifts we have been given so that as a body, we can serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Continue to edify in such a way as to glorify God and to be used by Him for His glory.

“My prayer is for this, in the Mighty Righteous, Powerful, and Holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.”
